This page is maintained by Melbourne Taxi to explain how we handle the information you give us when you book a ride.
What we collect
When you submit a booking we collect your name, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, requested time, vehicle and payment preference, and any notes you add. If you use the “use my current location” button, your device location is used once to look up a street address and is not stored by us.
How we use it
We use these details only to arrange and complete your taxi booking, and to contact you about that booking. Booking details are sent to our driver by SMS and email.
Who we share it with
Booking details are shared with the assigned driver and with the messaging and email providers we use to deliver those notifications. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.
Address lookups
Address suggestions and distance calculations are performed by third-party mapping services. Only the text you type is sent to those services.
